Try booking a decorator for a 25-person anniversary dinner in Bengaluru. The wedding companies won’t return the call because the ticket’s too small. The people who do call back arrive with a folding backdrop, three balloon colours and a bill for “transport.”
It’s a strange gap, because these are often the events people care about most — a 25th anniversary, a first baby, a farewell for someone leaving the country. They’re just too small for the big vendors to bother with.
